Lasting moisture sealing for cut wood edges

Practical benefits

Effective moisture absorption barrier: You prevent water ingress, swelling, and delamination across exposed saw cuts and unglued edges.
Transparent and paintable finish: The sealer dries clear without altering appearance, providing a smooth surface for subsequent coatings.
Versatile Rectavit 239 application: You can easily protect natural timber, wood derivatives, and board materials in damp interior settings.

In a nutshell

The right choise for

Protect vulnerable cut edges and end grain against moisture with the Rectavit 239 Wood Sealer. When working with natural timber or sheet materials like MDF, plywood, and OSB, exposed edges can quickly absorb water, leading to swelling and delamination. This liquid sealer forms a dependable waterproof barrier across unsealed surfaces. It applies white for precise visual control, becomes dust-dry in just 45 minutes, and dries completely transparent with a satin finish. Once dry, you can easily coat over it with standard lacquer or stain systems, keeping your woodwork reliably protected in damp environments.
